ShockFast™ Intravascular Lithotripsy: Transforming Treatment for Calcified Lesions

The ShockFast™ IVL is revolutionizing the treatment of calcification, a critical challenge in interventional procedure. By safely modifying calcified plaques through intravascular lithotripsy, it ensures higher success rates for angioplasty procedures.

With seamless integration into existing interventional techniques, ShockFast™ is ideal for both coronary and peripheral applications, improving outcomes in complex cases.

🔬 Case Highlight: TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital
A recent case led by Dr. Rui Jing, demonstrates the remarkable impact of intravascular lithotripsy in treating calcified lesions in a CRF patient:
●Patient Profile: 67-year-old female with coronary artery disease (CAD) and significant calcification in the RCA, with over 95% stenosis and occlusion in the posterior descending branch.
●Pre-Procedure: OCT showed severe calcification (depth > 0.5mm, length > 5mm, and 360° calcified arc) with minimal thrombus presence.
●ShockFast™ C-IVL Procedure: The 2.75*12mm IVL balloon catheter was used for 3 cycles, achieving excellent plaque modification without causing hematoma. The stent 2.75*29mm was deployed, and post-procedure OCT showed perfect wall apposition, full coverage of the lesion, and good patency.

Thanks to ShockFast™ Intravascular Lithotripsy, the patient's coronary artery was restored to optimal flow, ensuring a smooth recovery.
